Grizzlies end with loss to GEL champsBy BRIAN ROBBINS Democrat CorrespondentGARDEN VALLEY — TheGolden Sierra High basketball squad concluded its season on Wednesday night. For a team that finished the season with a 9-21 record, 3-11 m league play, the season was a huge success.The Grizzlies played together, played as hard as possible, butcould not overcome a talentedCenter squad that claimed a share of the GEL title by defeating Golden Sierra 75-56.For Phi! Seabury, Bryan Scheneman, Brett Pittman, Dave Angelia, Ian Rowe, Jason Potter,Rob Lotito, and Kevin Joseph, they suited up for the final time in their varsity careers.“Three league wins was more than anybody expected,” said Rowe. “The team is the thing that 1 will miss. Rowe finished a 3-pomt play followed by a basket from Seabury to complete a 16-0 run that lasted only 3:10.
