BABE D1DRIKS0N TO JOIN BASEBALL TEAMEL PASO, Tex**, Feb. 2*. (INS)— Babe Didrikson, woman Olympics champion and many-faceted athlete, will display another side of her numerous accomplishments with the House of David baseball team this summer, H. T. DeWhirst, general counsel for the club, announced Wednesday. La Didrikson has signed to pitch for the bearded diamond stars.Didrikson will play on the team which has arranged a number of games In the East for the early season. She will be the only woman on the team.Into national prominence first when she was twice named all-American with a Dallas, Texas, basket ball team. Didrikson has won Olympic track and field titles, golf matches, tennis engagements, wrestling bouts, boxing exhibitions and fencing meets.
