At the firft onfet, the. Naiior miffing his blow, Meggs hit him on the fide of his head, and knocked him down, after which nothing material happened but hugging and dodging, wirii which they prolonged the battle about Seventeen minutes, when the Naiior gave out. The prices of the feats were half guineas and crowns, and it is thought that twice the number of people were turned away for want of room, than thofe who faw the battle.There were feveral bye battles, particularly one between the brick-maker and the dunny lad, who fought fome time fince, which was pretty fmart, till, by an unlucky fall, the former broke his leg.D.
