COLLEGESGwynn Gordon broke her second meet record Saturday to lead Ohio University to its first women’s title in the MidAmerican Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. Gordon, a junior from Hagerstown, Md„ broke the 500-yard freestyle record Friday and the 1,650-yard freestyle mark Saturday during the three-day competition to win MAC Swimmer of the Year honors. Margaret Cullings, an Eastern Michigan senior from Frankenmuth, Mich., won both the one and three-meter diving competitions to win Diver of the Year honors. Ohio won five of the final day’s seven events and 13 of the championship’s 19. The Bobcats totaled 952 points to beat seventime defending champion Miami of Ohio by 204% points. Bowling Green finished third with 557, followed by Eastern Michigan’s 449 and Ball State’s 386 Vz.
