Moulton Defeats Moravia, 21-18 tjThursday, the boys team went to Moravia. Thursday, they came home ^ with another win under their belt. The tune of the victory march was 1 played in 21-18 time. Close enough, but an inch is as good as a mile in a case like this. We wish to congratulate the team on this achieve- fi ment. If we had been able to win in all season, as was the case last week, er the conference standings would oJ have looked much different. tlBy the way, there is an account sc of a game between two of the grades tc in this issue. We wish to bring out m a point. This is an example of the increasing interest in basketball in w the lower classes. We hope that in 1 a few years, the new gym (relative- ai Iy speaking) will give some of the n. younger boys enough practice to at- th tain a fair state of ability before tl their entrance into high school. We o may expect the teams to show a dt steady improvement, year after ylt; year. The reason for this is, that tl most of the boys on this year’s team m have only played in high school, with tl the exception of one or two. And a is team that is a high ranking team in w tournaments usually drills on basket- u ball and nothing else. Some of them tc literally were given a basketball be- e: fore they ever saw a rattle. hWell, enough of this, and we will fc print'below the scoring in the game that we mentioned above. fcMOULTON FG. This, of course, excludes the sectional tournament, but these will be the last games in the Conference. Come out and help the teams end the season with two wins.titceilleswi:t1as1
