Globe Trotters Back*♦Although Winona has had plenty of basketball this winter, one more attraction Is always welcomeand the game arranged between the Harlem Globe Trotters and the Har-mel Packers of Austin here next Sunday afternoon promises to be a fitting climax of the season.Ollie Davies really Is lucky in getting back the always popular Negro quintet for Abe Saperstein had a trip booked to the Pacific Coast which he was forced to cancel, I believe, because some of the members of his team had no desire to play on the Coast,I don’t know why, but I do know that two members returned to Chicago and that Saperstein has re-* turned to the Windy City to straighten out the trouble and that he has wired for two members of the New York Renaissance club to join him in Chicago. As a result, two new faces probably wilt be In' the Globe Trotter outfit here Sunday;The reason, I am told, for the trouble is the fact that the Globe Trotters have been making so miich .money through the Northwest this season (and that's no laugh) that some of the boys did not want to take a chance on going to the Coast( where their name is not very well known,# * *• Whatever Saperstein does, it will be for.the best, for this smart little Jew has made the Globe Trotters,1 taught them their style of play, and established their name. If the boys, don’t play bail with him, it will be just too bad for them, for there are plenty more classy athletes who will be glad to jump at the chance.
