Alberta Referees AdamantCALGARY (CP) — The chairman of the central zone of the Alberta Hockey Referees Association said Monday that the association will continue to officiate for the Western Canada Hockey League despite an ultimatum from the Alberta Amateur Hockey Association.Referees should not be involved in any way, shape or form with the political problems between the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association and the Canadian Hockey Association, Joe Cassidy of Calgary said in a news release.The A AHA, a branch of the CAHA, handed down its ultimatum Saturday when it withdrew recognition of the referees’ association.The AAHA executive passed a motion advising the refereesthat the association wouldrecognize and use in games under its jurisdiction only those referees who by next Saturday had given their undertaking that they would not officiate in games involving teams or leagues not affiliated with the AAHA.The motion was approved following a joint meeting of the AAHA, a special committee of the CAHA and the referees’ association.It was the latest development in a dispute which started last June when the WCHL brokewith the CAHA in a clash over, time to choose in which associa-RUGBYRESULTSLONDON (CP) — Ru3by results Monday:LEAGUE CHALLENGE CUP Second Round Keighley 2 Leeds 17LEAGUE Hull Kingston Rovers 9 York 2.
