Philo ShareMVL TitlePhilo and John Glenn each won a share of the girls Muskingum Valley League title Saturday as Philo downed visiting Tri-Valley 47-37 while John Glenn won 53-42 over host SheridanWest Muskingum posted a 52-45 win over visiting Maysville to take third place in the league. Philo and John Glenn finished with 7-i MVL records while John Glenn had a 10-1 overall mark. West Muskingum finished at 6-2 and Maysville wound up with a 5-3 record.Cindy Abel sparked Philo with 28 points and Janet Roberts led in rebounds with 11. Tn-Valiey, which finished with a 1-7 league mark, was led by Jerri Border with nine points and 11 rebounds and Jackie Randall with nine points and 12 rebounds.Tri-Valley won the reserve game 43-12 for an 8-0 record while Philo slipped to 1-7.John Glenn took a 24-18 half time lead over Sheridan, now 3-5, and widened its lead steadily in the second half. Lita Ven Reeth had 18 points and Nancy Hutcheson 13 for John Glenn while Jana Montague collected seven rebounds.Janet Litzinger had 20 points for Sheridan while she and Gretehen Gaskin and Mary Miller each picked up six rebounds.Sheridan won the reserve contest 32-24.Susie Kerns led West Muskingum with 15 points while Pam Dalton added 14 pointsand eight rebounds. Wanda Williamson scored 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for Maysvile and Darlene Williams had 15 points.Maysville reserves edged West Muskingum 23-20
