Bradford was represented by,W. A. Stuart, our old friend Chauncey, Oil City by Sir Guy Hecker, G. E. Maltby, of Jamestown, and Harry Curtis, of New, York were sponsers for Celoron and H. E. Norris held the proxy of Frank P. Thyne, of Mead-ville. Olean, to the disappointment of all, was not represented, and Mr. Stuart was appointed a committee of one to visit that city and get them into line if possible. There is much interest manifested there, and all they need is some one to take the lead. The leaguewas organized by the five clubs represented.The season will commence May 12 and will end Sept. 15, about 50 games being played in each city.For holiday games Olean will be paired with Bradford, Celeron with Warren and Oil City with Meadviile. The morning game being played in one city and the afternoon game in the other. A salary limit of six , hundred dollars exclusive of the manager was- decided, on, and it will be rigidly enforced.The game guarantee to the visiting, will be $30, with the o, tion of taking 40 per cent, of the gale receipts. In case of rain the visitingclub will receive $20.The same rates of admission prevailing in the league before weie decided on, 25 cents for gentlemen, 15 cents for ladies and 10cents for children,Guy J. Hecker will manage the Club in Oil City, W. A. Stuart in Bradford, Frank P. Tyne in Meadviile and Harry Curtis in Celeron.The Warren manager has not yet been selected, but indications point to its being {arnea Brady, of Pittsburg, who managed the °V Titusville club so successfully in 1896. narry j xhe secretary of the meeting, Mr. Norris was instructed to correspond with Nick Young, and ascertain the cost of protection under the national agreement, and also what benefits are to be derived from it.It will be decided at the next meeting whether protection is desired or not.
