GOOD RECORD FQR D. H. S. BASKET BALL TEAMThe Delphi High School Basket Ball Team will close its first season at the gymnasium here tomorrow evening. They will opppse the Idaville five for the third time, having been victors once in the two games. A preliminary bout between two teams of Delphi girls will, also be pulled off.For a team that has been organized for only one season, the D. H. S. team has done exceedingly well, walking over older organizations and giving state championship contestants, lively tussles. It is a member of the State High School Athletic Association. Out of the thirteen games played this season, there are four on th* credit side of the ledger which is saying a good deal for a quintet whose knowledge of the game has been gained principally through hard knocks. Incidentally there has developed some mighty good basketball material, which will take many of the knots out of the problem of building a winning team for the season, 1911-1912. For this season the team has been captained by Craig (‘11) coached by Supt. Henderson, who is himself an able player, and managed by Principal Grimm. The treasurer of the high school athletic association is Don M. Julien.The games won were with the high school alumni, Idaville, W. Lafayette and Flora.
