Canada prepares systemTORONTO (CP) - A hockey program similar to that employed in the 1960s will give Canada an all-encompassing, multi-year Olympic plan, a Hockey Canada official said Tuesday.Georges Lariviere, a Hockey Canada governor who compiled a white paper on Canada’s participation inOlympic hockey, said in an interview that under theproposal, Game Plan—the federal funding agent for amateur athletes—would provide $200,000 of the $900,000 necessary to train or school 50 players for possible partcipation atthe 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid, N.Y.
