Neosho High School’s basketball Wildcats staged a furious up- /mjrising in the fourth quarter Saturday night but the rally fell short as the battling ‘Cats were forced to bow to the Glendale Falcons, 65-62.The Falcons held the upper hand, 17-13, at the end of the first period'' and led, 40-26 at the half. After -three periods, Glendale was ontop, 56-41.Trailing by 17 points, the Wildcats started a rally and closed the -gap to two points with 13 seconds ' left. During the last 13 seconds, the Cats missed six attempts from the field and lost to the Falcons. .......Top scorer for the game was! Neosho’s big Lavern Tuggle with 30 points to bring his season totalto 421.Top man for Glendale was Tim Burrows with 24 points.. .The Neosho “B” team was defeated, 69-58. in a preliminary ' game. „ •This week the Wildcats will 'h^ preparing for a game here Friday night against the Parkvietf .
