He just couldn’t miss. The 38 tallies made last night tops his old scoring record by two points. Not only did £ie hit from far out front, but cashed in on eight out of nine foul shots.Odean Forbes again played his usual great game. Odean hit for 14 points to grab scoring honors for his team. George Trent did a good job on the backboards for the Lynxes. He wasn’t able to play most of the second half having four fouls called on him in the first half.Both teams started at a rapid pace. G. A. Golden started the ball rolling for the Eagles with a pair of charity tosses. Powers came back for the Lynxes with a crip shot to knot the score up. That was the last time that the game was tied.Surgoinsvtlle continued to score heavy, leading 17-14 at the end of the first period. Billy Kirkpatrick started hitting In the second quarter pouring II points through the nets. The Eagles led 40-29 at halftime.Lynn View played great ball in the first half, both on offense and defense.The second half was Surgoinsville all the way. Billy Kirkpatrick hit for 21 points; he just couldn’t be stopped.Four of the .Lynxes, first five men fouled dBt in the last quarter. The loss of these four hurt bad.
