LOWELL AND NATICK MATCH.Representatives of Both Teams Posted Forfeits This Morning to Bind the Series.After many ineffectual attempts* to match the Lowell and Natick basketball teams for a series of games, the series has at last been ratified. Manager James J. Gray of Lowell and Capt YVinfleid Kinkalde of the Natick team met at the Globe office this morning and each deposited $50 as a forfeit. Tuesday at 8 o’clock they Will meet again at the Globe and deposit $160 each, the serlek being for $200 a side.The dates of the games arc Tuesday and Thursday at Natick, and Washington’s birthday and Friday nights atWINFIELD KINK A IDE,Captain of Natick Banket-Bull Team.Lowell. Both representatives wanted different referees, so it was decided to use two men. Gray selecting O'Neil of Lowell, while Barnacle of Natick was Kinkaide's choice.The question of players caused more or less discussion, Gray wanting to use Wachter of Haverhill, but os manager Pettee of Natick had also made arrangements for the elongated Haverhill center, it was decided that he wouldJAMF.H J, GRAY,Manager of Lowell Basket-Ball Team.witness the game its a spectator. Man-aer Gray wanted to bur Hough, but nkaide would not stand fit it, so as a last resort manager Gray said he would use Bucky Lew, tho young colored lad of Haverhill, against him, so both Hough and Lew are out of the aeries.Both teams will carry only five players, and In case of an injury the gamewill be finished with four men on a side. Manager Gray of Lowell will be represented by Capt Matthews, Leighton, Getzinger and the Loos brothers, while Natick will have Capt Kinkalde, Feral, Mulliner, Fogarty and Mayhem.
