He says they certainly want Franklin in the proposed new league, as there would not be any money in it for Oil City unless they had the 011 opportunity to take an occasional fall out o their old enemy. A meeting for the oiganua tion of the new league is to he held in Warrenon Feb. 23d,We can say that if Franklin had a baseball paik, or any prospects of securing one.theie would not be any trouble about getting aclub, as Frank Ilaller stands ready to put to ateam, and we feel sure the boys would gm the necessary financial backing as of yoie.Bui the only persons who would teap any benefit, provided the giounds weie located at either end of the line, would be the slteet tailway company. With our present lapid growth, the time is coming when such grounds or paik will be demanded for bicycle .aces and other events besides base ball, and the street railway company would be doing an excllent stroke of business if they only provided such a place. When the grounds are assured. the necessary steps will be taken towards placing a ball club in the field.—Franklin News.letfc t 01 th dowr bo ft in at sovei buck mail who goutin si man aid.icrle-toiveyesnoyouf *tvolaithcrdonputbhrvt ora“yla!itodori)• *an
