|/av«VU»George Boehler who did such excellent work on the mound the latter part of last season for the locals and whom it was hoped would be the regular pitcher for the coming season, has again signed with Tulsa, Okla., of the Western eLague, but the local management has two other good twirlers in view and expect to contract in the near future with a slab artist that will be able to do his part in holding Batesville to the front*The following players have been signed for the season: Bloemer, Hey-er, Fritsch, Woodall, Lightner, Joe Wintz, George Wintz. Elmer Luhring, Joe Hahn, Dick Lightner, Grover Benz, Joe Benz, Edward Wernke and Harry Pohlman. Several others will no doubt soon be signed up but the club roll will be cut to twelve players before June 1, which is one of the regulations of the new league.The next league meeting will be held at Shelbyville on February 26, and it is expected that the league schedule for the season will be announced soon after this next meeting.
