PERCY ACCEPTSLocal Colored Man Accepts the Chai-ftlenge to Fight issued By KidMitchell,Perry Jones, a local colored pugilist, made the following statement to a Journal reporter yesterday in regards to the challange Issued by Kid Mitehe)]' of this city and formerly of Chicago, toftfight him in the prize ring:I accept the challenge issued by Kid Mitchell to fight him upon any terms that may be agreed upon—time and place to be announced later.” —Percy Jones.Mr. Jones incidently stated to. the reporter that he was as anxious, as Mitchell could possible be to engage him. He said that he was in fairly good condition and could be put at his best in a few days. If the mill is arranged it will be a warm one and one well worth the time to see.
