Olney Pins 20th Defeat On Rend Warrior CagersBy BOB KELLEYDeliberate, control basketball paid off at least for a while last night before Olney’s Blue Knights stormed back in the second half to attack the Rend Lake Warriors, 49-27, in Ver-nois Gym., After employing slow-down tactics to produce a slim, 14-16 deficit at' halftime, the Warriors scalped themselves by connecting on just two more field goals the rest of the way.Rend Lake now sports a 1-20 slate for the campaign with a pair of contests remaining.The lone Warrior in double figures for Coach Jim Waugh was Gary Burzynski with 10 points. Larry Stonecipher chipped in with 6 additional markers, George Morgan registered 4 tallies, .Mark Maline and Gary Hefner got 2 apiece, and Merrill Upchurch had 1.Thursday, the locals challenge Southeastern at Harrisburg before closing out regulation play at home against Oan-ville this Saturday evening.
