\_ *Arketex TilesAre Championsn YMCA LeagueThe Arketex Tiles defeated the Columbia Record five in the lastgame of league play Thursday night, 122 to 82. to win the league championship. The Tiles wound up with a 14 won and 1 lost recordto win undisputed first place while the “Y” Men finished second witha 13 and 2 record.In Thursday night’s games, the Brazil Merchants and Adamson’sLumber played the first game with the Merchants coming out on top, 65-63. Leading scorers for the Merchants were Dale Willoughby with 24 points and Wilson Vannice with 19 markers. Virgil Landis and Mark Dierdorf won scoring honors for the losers with 25 points each.The second game found Arketex trimming Columbia Records, 122-82. In the Tiles scoring department Junior Ledgerwood, Loren Clark, Ken McClellan tallied 31, 30, and 29 points, respectively. For the losers Bill Mercer and DonMercer were high with Bill getting 30 and Don 20.In*the final game of the evening the “Y” Men defeated the Twigg Jets, 92-88. For the winners Darrell Craig and Larry Barr were high with 24 points each.
