With The Boxer*.The Notre Dame reserves won the track meet from North Division highschool at Notre Dame Saturday afternoon.Kid Lavinge and Jack O’Brien willmeet in a 20 round go before theYoeemite Athletic club in San Francisco Feb. 28th.Hughey McGovern, the fighting brother of the famous Terry McGovern will fight “Dusky” Miller a six round go to a decision before the Illinois Athletic Club in Chicago Friday evening.W. O. Roaob, formerly of Goshen, late of Chicago is entered in a three mile handicap skating race to be held under the auspices of the Monitor club at Lincoln park in that city on the alternoon of Feb. I4th.“Buddy” Ryan, who appeared at Springbrook Casino Jan. 31st and won the decision over Kid Goulette, met Kid Herrick, of Buffalo, in a six round go at Oshkosh Wis., Friday night and won the bout on points.A special car leaving Goshen at £7 o’clock this evening and arriving at Springbrook Casino at about 8:30 o’clock will accommodate those who expect to witness the boxing events to be pulled off under the auspices of the Interurban Athletic club. The card is the best that has ever been arranged including a 10 round go between Adam Ryan, of Philadelphia, and Squirrel Flnnerty, of Youngstown, Ohio, who will meet at 135 pounds. The semi wind-up is an 8 round go between Billy Moore, of Syracuse, N. Y., and Bob Porter, of Hot Springs, Ark., at 130 pounds. Two preliminary events of muoh local interest have alsobeen Scheduled.
