Rose hit 29 points and Denman added 17 to pace Rich. High scorer for the night was Dick Peldzuz, who dropped through 36 points besides being the play maker, for Reavis.BILL HAWKINS, Rich’s fine guard, was heckled by the Reavis fans, but showing he is a great competitor turned in another good game as did teammates Bruce Pradin and Larry Scott.A jump shot by Pradin opened the first quarter. Peldzuz netted a basket and Hawkins hit a free-throw before Joel Omahem's rebound. Peldzuz added a basket and a free-throw then twice matched Denman's baskets to put the Rams in front 11-6.Rose hit from under the bucket and Pradin caged a 15 footer. Bill Miller’s free shot was trailed bv Scott’s basket to even up the score at 12 all with 3:05left in the quarter.Pradin added a charity toss and Rose tipped in his second try before Lloyd dropped in a left handed hook to make it 17-12. Two free-throws by Hawkins and one by Peldzuz came before Rose and Pradin’s baskets ended the quarter with Rich in front 23-13.RICH KEPT hustling in thesecond quarter.
