SPRING IS NEAR; LUCKY AGES ORGANIZEFOR YEAR: WINDY BURKEMANAGER*More is a sprittg note: Wind-field (Windy) Burke has been appointed manager of the Lucky Aces softbaU team of Xenia for theseventh straight year.Carl Osborn has been named assistant manager. Ralph Shultz team captain. William (Andy) Pyles infield captain and Edwin Shulu outfield captain The Xenia team has been award ed membership in a southwestern Ohio Sunday softball league, with which Wilmington, Hillsboro, Mt Orah. Georgetown, Payettesvilieand Clarksville are affiliated. IChanges In the roster of the Aces are also announced. Ed Burke, first buseman and the team's leading hitter for fouryears, and Johnny Ernst, pitcherand shortstop, are no longer with the team. Burke hit. 467 and Ernst batted .445 last season. The Aces have signed Leach for shortstop and Albert Snell will be moved from left field to first ba*e. WindyBurke and Charles Karrh vvlll be first string pitchers, with ljuirkand Donovan new utility outfielders for 1936. The team will hold a meeting February 24 Ht the homeof Carl Osborn. E. Second St.
