Thursday night.River Fails 6, Chippewa Falls 0River Falls Goalie Paul Kittelson recorded his first career shutout in the Wildcats’ win over the Cardinals in a non-conference game at Chippewa Fails.River Falls jumped to a 4-0 lead after the first period on two goals by Dean Miner and singlefoals by Chris O’Neil and roy Kusilek.The Wildcats picked up single goals in the final two periods to round out the scoring. Shane Hemenway scored in the second while Miner picked up his hat trick in the third.Kittelson picked up 17 saves while Shannon Robinson had 20 for Chippewa Falls.It was really a good defensive game, except for the first period,” River Falls Coach Tom Kleinsaid. “We got some breaks early.”River Falls is now 12-3 and hosts New Richmond Thursday night in a NWHC contest.
