basket ballUnion Township Lads Win From Danville by One Point. jLizton high school defeated Danville high school, Friday night, in the hardest fought g^une of the sea- ‘ son. The score was 16-17 but until the last few minutes of play !was 16- j 15 in favor of Danville. The game 1 was most interesting from the start. .Danville’s general playing was bet-1 ter than Lizton’s but the home boys were very inaccurate in pitching foul goals and to this the loss of the = game may be attributed. The Lizton I team is composed of clean, manly boys who play a straight game. Much unnecessary wrangling was caused by referee Hall, of Lizton, who insisted on interpreting many rules to the advantage of Lizton and whose j persistent calling of held balls when \ the ball was in Lizton’s territory j was responsible for many points for that team.Several from Lizton attended the; came and cheered for their, favorites, j This is the first in-door game won by Lizton this season.
