COUSIN TO THE QUEENIs Mrs. George logman, of Mount Vernon,Claimed to Be.The Mt. Vernon Republican News has traced out a wonderful connection between Jeffries the pugilist and Victoria the late 'queen. The link between them is of course to be found in Mt. Vernon. The Republican We ws tells the news as follows:“Mrs. George logman, of 521 Korth * McKenzie street, Mt. Vernon, is a third cousin of the late Queen Victoria of England. Mrs. Ingman’s mother was born and reared in Kent couaty, England. Mrs. logman possesses alarge picture of her mother, who is now dead, which bears a striking likeness to the late queen. She also owns an Episcopal prayer book in which her mother’s name was wntten on. June 3, 1193. The book is still in a good state of preservation and is highly prized. Mrs. Ingraan remembers of oltt'n having beard her grandfatherand her mother speak ot Ihear relationship to the royal family.“Mr. Ingman, as has been stated in these columns, is a cousin of Pugilist Jeffries”.’
