Wednesday Evening, February 4,1970Here 9sLookin9At Itby Tom HudgingsDoyne Wolford walked off with all the honors last week to earn the title of “pin buster of the week.Wolford posted a 674 series to take top honors m that department and ripped off a 277 game for highgame of the week.Wolford, who bowls at Myers Lanes, started offwith a 215 game, but he really got things rolling m thesecond game. He banged his next nine balls:mto thepocket for nine strikes in a row. On his 10th baU newent in too high on the head pin and ended his string,as the seven pin failed to fall. He closed out his series'VXthBob Smith posted the high series at the Bowlmor,* 638 and Jack Lawson rolled high game of 268,Dee Martin rolled high series for the women. She posted a 593 three-game block at Myers to just beat out Shirley Good,who rolled a 585 at the Bowlmor.Dee started off strong with a 225. Followed that with a 206and finished with a 162. ■ . .Shirley posted games of 181-213-191 for her series total of585. She also rolled a 543 series in the same week for a sixgame total of 1,128. _Bev Franklin recorded the high game for the city, . tst. She finished with a 556 series to go along with a 538 also bowled in die same week.★ ★ ★ ★ * .The City Bowling Tournaments will be getting underwaythis weekend at both bowling establishments and there should be plenty of action. So if you want to see some good bowling drop around at either lanes this Saturday or Sunday,Score keepers are still needed for the tournament, if arty-one is interested they should contact the managers at ■ thebowling alleys or the bowling association secretary.★ ★ ★ ★ ★Darrell Muir posted a high game and series for juniorbowlers last week with a 588 series and 218 game. .The young junior bowler posted games of 218-209-161 inrolling his high series.Mike Sans recorded the high series at the Bowlmor, a544 and Steve Clary had high game, 293.Cindy Carlson was tops for the girls with a 393 series. Janet Harman posted a 173 game and Beth Burley came in with a 157 mark.f:nff.
