mwMCORNISH WRESTLERS AND TRAINERS—In the 80’s Cornish wrestling was one of Butte’s most popular sports. Wrestlers came all the way from Cornwall to measure stren gth and skill against the Cornish wrestlers of Butte—and lost. This picture was taken some 50 years ago at the Eagle (in 1910 the O. K.) bar. The identification is as follows: No. 1, left to right, William Bennetts; 2, a trainer; 3, “Lucky” Williams; 4, Freddy Prymm, a trainer; 5, “Bill” Prymm; 6, trainer; 7, Marshall Fulford, for 14 years the Butte Cornish wrestling champion who met all comers; 8,* Con Noonan,wrestling enthusiast, and a miner at the Stewart mine.
