The Dauphin PeeWee ‘A’ Kings won four straight games before going down to defeat in the A side championship at the Oak River Rural Tournament of Champions last weekend.Darryl Johnson scored twice as the Flin Flon Bombers nipped the PeeWee ‘A’ Kings6-4 in the final. DonnyHynes, Reid Simpson, Todd Gulka and Blaine Gobel rounded out theFlin Flon scoring.Dauphin scorers were Billy Fraser, Allen Ryz, Wade Bartley and Todd Kennedy. Fraser was named to the all-starteam.The Dauphin squad started the tourney with a 6-5 win over Hartnev-Deloraine behind Billy Fraser and Todd Kennedy , who each netted a pair. Scott Snitka and Darcy Boguski added singles. Galen Wilson, Kelly Betholet, Jason Moore, Tony Franklin and Dan Gibson repliedfor Hartney-Deloraine.In their second game, the PeeWee ‘A’ Kings dumped Swan River 7-2 as Todd Kennedy contributed a hat-trick. Billy Fraser added two goals, while Allen Ryz and Chad Newton notched one goal each. Jason Hodgson and Mike Bourgeault netted the Swan River goals.Dauphin continued their streak with a 3-2 triumph over Brandon’s MacArthur Truck in overtime. Paul Anderson scored twice, and Darcy Boguski once for the PeeWee ‘A’ Kings. Don Milen and Delwyn Newfield scored for Brandon.Dauphin metHartney-Deloraine in the semi-finals, and defeated them 4-1. Billy Fraser, Paul Anderson,Scott Snitka and Todd Kennedy scored for Dauphin. Jeff Smart was the lone Hartney-Deloraine marksman.The PeeWee ‘A’ Kings visit Swan River at the end of February for a tournament.Midget MinorThe Midget Minor Kings finished their four game home-and-home series with Oak Lake on the road this weekend, playing a Saturday double-header. The hosts won the first game 8-3, and the teams tied the second game at four.Travis Steele scored four times in the first game, with Dean Sex-smith and Wayne McKinney adding two each. Guy Bordian, Wayne Nepinak and Rob Doroshuk scored for Dauphin.The second game saw Oak Lake fight back to tie on Jason Taylor’s second goal.
