MAlexander With TeamDoan in', his request for a game here, has a two color circular filled witn glowing terms of what a great attraction he Is putting out. He says that the Monarch portable lant will provide 120,000 watts of _ight and he will use the original House of David team with the added attraction of Grover Cleveland Alexander. The team is training at Mineral Wells, Texas, and will be open for games from April 15 on. Doan announces that one of the features of the attraction will be a ‘‘pepper game” put onfby the House of David team before the start ofthe regular game, \,_,The plants the Monfc'^hteam was/used last season for-qyer 100 games and in some instances drew as high as 15,000 people. It is the only successful portable lighting'plant for night baseball- in America and is carried on ; six trucks, requiring the services of fifteen men to put it up and take it down for a game.The proposal of Ray u. Doan to plav in Manitowoc with the House of 6avid team and Grover Cleveland Alexander has been turned over to the directors of the Manitowoc club for consideration.
