Yesterday Richard Humphreys, the famous pugilist, came before Sir Sampson Wricht.Sir Sampson informed him that the Magistrates had come to a resolution of putting a stop to all public Boxing Matches ; and that, in consequence, a warranf had been granted to apprehend him and Daniel Mendoza ; that Mendoza had found bail, and therefore he should insist on his giving bail for his good behaviour till the next Sessions.Wilson Bradyll, Esq. and Charles Baxton, Esq. became sureties for Humphreys in one hundred pounds each, and himself in a penalty of two hundred pounds.
