LOTS OF IFSHockey Issue StillHanging In Mid-AirMONTREAL (CP) — Robert LeBel, president of the International Ice Hockey Federation, said Wednesday tfie 11H.F will do “everything in iLs power” to enable East Germany to compete inr Uie world championships in March.He said that if he receives a formal complaint upon which he can act, and if the ITHF executive approves, the 11IIF will appeal to the Allied travel office in Berlin to reverse its decision , slopping the East Gormans from going to the United Stales for the tournament.The championships are to be held in Colorado Springs, Colo.. March 7-18. The East Germans said Allied authorities in West Berlin have refused to give Ihcm the travel permits they need before they can apply for United States visas.The formal complaint apparently is on its way.
