Feb. 1— Christeningthe new high school gymnasium with n brace of victories, the Tucumcari Battlers beat the Melrose Buffaloes 31 to 14 and the Tucumcari freshmen heal the junior high team 14 to 7 Frida night. In another game on the Friday night program, McAlister and Nara Visa met on neutral ground and McAlister, led by John Scott, t riumphed.Huff and Pearson, with eight points each, tied for individual honors in the Kattlers-Buffaloes game, and Conley of Melrose was next with six.
