The joy of the local fans was only temporary however, as Bedford soon resumed its onslaught which Washington, in a weakened ocndition, was unable to withstand.Kuhny and Sullivan starred for Washington in the contest and Edwards and F. Crow were the principal actors for Bedford. They each secured five field goals. Kiefer's playing for the local team was slowed up considerably because he was playing under difficulties.
