The production under management of the Howland Clifford Amusement Co., is said to be one of the best equipped companies ever sent from Chicago. Mr. MacCurdy is now in iiis fourth season with “The Old Clothes Man, and the interest evinced by theatre patrons seems unabated. The story is one that should appeal to all classes; its language simple, direct, well chosen and joins in a masterly manner laughable comedy, the thrills ofmelodrama-excitement and genuine pathos. Added to this are three rounds of spirited boxing between two eminent physical culturists—ex-champion, Danny Dougherty and Kid Sharkey, of New York.
