She defeated countrywoman QinKanying 2.5-1.5.Xie, who comes from a working-class Beijing family, was typically relaxed and upbeat during an interview conducted while the tournament was in progress.“I just like playing chess,” she said. “1 was the world champion for some time, then I lost the tile, regained it; perhaps I can win it again in the future. AH this doesn’t mean too much to me. I just like to play. It doesn’t really matter if I win it ornot.“I don’t consider myself a professional.
