H. McLaughlin, the champion wrestler, was defeated in two straight falls, last night, at Music Hall, lu Boston, by James Owens, of Fairfield, Vermont, a farmer, weighing sixty pounds less. A dispatch trom hie-backer, this afternoon, Bays that McLaughlin had his ankle strained, at New York, in wrestling, three weeks ago, and that Owens, finding out his weak spot, attacked him persistently there, ana overcame him.
