For Nehlen there’s not much time foranything but business.“It can be fun for the family, but it’s not a fun trip for the coaches,” Don’s wife Merry Ann says. “It’s a job for them.” You see, Don Nehlen is the baekfield coach for head coach Bo Schembechler and the Michigan Wolverine football team currently preparing for the Jan. 2 Rose Bowl and a clash with Washington. So, the trip to Pasadena is a working vacation for Don: more working than vacation.“1 see that the coaches get done between 6:30 and 7 p.m. each night, so their evenings are pretty free,” Merry Ann said..
