Hockey Hall of Famer Fred Page dead at 82VANCOUVER (CP) — Fred Page, inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame as a builder in 1993, died at the age of 82 on Monday.Page was first vice-president of the International Ice Hockey Federation from 1968 to 1972 as well as chairman of hockey for the 1972 Olympics in Sapporo, Japan.He was president of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association from 1966 to 1968. Before his retirment in 1996, he spent 23 years on the executive of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League.He is survived by his wife, Ethel, and two children.Funeral arrangements were incomplete.
