Lunenburg T opples MTLunenburg faces MurdockLANCASTER - The Lunenburg High School hockey team ran its Central Massachusetts Conference record to 3-1 Mondav night by whipping Monty Tech. 5 to 3 at the Orchard Hills Arena.Mike Fredo scored a pair of goals for the Blue Knights to up his totals to 10 goals and eight assisla on the campaign.The Bulldogs, jumped off to an early lead os Mike Wirtz connected at 11:23 of the first period, getting assists from Randy L’Ecuyer and Jack Wailes. The Knlghta then pulled even when Fredo sent home a pass from Chris Johnson at 12 43 and then took the lead for good on a goal by Mike Duddy at13:15. Fredo got an assist on the play.Art Testa gave Lunenburg a 3-1 edge at 3:13 of the second stanza, getting help from Mickey Landry and Dave Ware but at 11:53, cut the lead to 3-2, getting passes from Ken Babincau and Steve Stern.Fredo got his second goal of the game at 4:08 of the final a period, unassisted.
