TWENTY IIOUND BOl'T.New York, December 46.—The proposed twenty-round bout between MfcttyMatthews and BUteh Thurston, which was to take place before the Interim tioiuil Athletic Club of Port Erie, Ont.,on New Year’s eve, has been declared off by the management. The fighter* were unable to reach an agreement over the division of the purse and the time of weighing in. An effort is now being made to match Matthews and “Rube’ Ferns again, the bout to take place 10 the near future at Fort Erie.
