Ray Sheppard Is Elected Captain Of Port Nkches-IIRay Sheppard, all-dlstrlct football guard, was elected captain of the Port Nechee football team for 1939 before the gridiron banquet held laat Friday night.Sheppard will be one of the two lettermen returning next fall.The lettermen announced by Coach Claude Stone at the banquet were: George Carl Smithand Wavered McBride, Co-cap-taina; Ray Sheppart, captain-elect; Albera Beaumont, Lyman Bernard, Cheater Berwick, Or-geno Colvin, James Dela-houaaaye. Jack Edwarde, Jamca Green, William Grubb, Charlee Landry, Wealey McKee, Joe Billy McMInn, Victor Nowlin, Ervin Simon, Clifton Smith and R/l.
