Collins Wins Two Close Cage GamesBAXTER—Collins High school’s invasion of Baxter was successful Tuesday night, as the hoys won, 27-‘24, and the girls secured a 44*39 decision.With but 30 seconds remaining,the Baxter hoys were a point behind. A Baxter shot failed to hit its mark, but Collins added a bucket just before the game ended.Collins led at the half. 15*10. Stock hit ten points for Baxter, while Long’s 12 was best for Collins.The Jasper county girls were trailing. 25-20, when the half ended, and couldn’t overcome the few points lead during the second half. Kienle was Baxter’s best, sending 27 sizzling points through the hoop.* j Fertig of Collins racked up 19 counters.
