HASTINGS, Neb.—Hastings Col* lege Bronchos came from behind in the final four minutes of play to whip the Ottawa University Braves 70 to 66, here, last night, With four minutes remaining on the clock OU held a 66-65 lead. But four straight free throws, two by Bob Hansen and a pair by Mort Fuller moved the Bronchos out in front for good. A free toss in the late seconds of the game gaveHastings a 70-66 margin of victory.In the late minutes of play OU lost the services of Bob McGhee and Bob Knight via the foul route. Hastings moved out o a quicklead and held a 35-30 halftime margin. OU coach Bill Frear described the game as a “rough contest on both sides.”Bob McGhee paced the Braves attack with 23 points. Bob Knight and Dave Owen were second with11 points each.Mort Fuller, diminitive 5-6 guard led the Hastings attack with is points. Steve Ponis was second with 14 points. Tom Osborne, recovering from a football injury, hod 10 points for the Bronchos, The Braves and the Bronchos both hit 27 field goals, however Hastings took the game at the free throw line, hitting 16 charity tosses to 12 for the Braves.The Braves piayed without the sendees of Dick Schwartz, 6-2 senior forward, who twisted ar ankle in the Warrenburg game, Tuesday,The squad will return to Oh tawa this afternoon. They will hold 2-a-day practices next week, with the excetpion of Christmas day, in preparation for the Ottawa Junior Chamber of Commerce Tournament.The Braves will meet the Roek-hurst Hawks Thursday, OU will gointo % tournament with two wins and three loss record.lit other Kansas conference action, Southwestern hammered McPherson 81-65.
