New York, Dec. 20.—Gus Ruhlin, the Akron giant, who has apsira-t'.ons tor heavyweight championship honors, defeated “Stockings” Conroy of Troy, N. Y., in sevon rounds before the Broadway Athletic club. Conroy put up a game battle, and sent in some fearful rights on Ruhlin's ribs and over the kidneys, but he was unable to stand the big Ohioan's swings and jabs, and was almost out when the referee stopped the bout near the end Of the seventh round.
