The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc. is still looking for information on Dakin Miller. You may have noticed the item in last week’s Leader about this native Malvernian who played in the majors about the turn’of the century. Writes Lee Allen, Historian for the HalL of Fame: 'Is anything known in Malvern, about a baseball player of the long ago named Dakin Miller?“According to our records, he was born there on Sept. 2, 1877. We also heard that he died on Jan. 14, 1943. If he died there, it is possible that you might have printed an obituary.“We are trying to contact his-descendants to obtain biographical data for our library. I realize that the name of Miller is a very common one, but .‘Dakin’ Is rather unusual, and perhaps one of your readers would recall him,“At any rate, we will certainly appreciate any information you can provide.”So if you have any information about Dakin, especially about his later years, both we and the Hall of Fame will appreciate it.r— ......1_____i
