Edmonton Juniors' Trip Still UncertainiiEDMONTON—The proposedEuropean trip of the Edmonton Canadian* junior hockey team was still uncertain.Whether Canadians will represent Canada at the hockeyWorld championship tourneyat Prague Feb. 15 to 23 is dc pendent upon raising suffiaen; fun is to pay expenses fromEdmonton to New York.Dr. W. G. Hardy of Edmonton, president of the Interna-t'orai Ice hockey association, sa d the British Ice Hockey association was scheduleo to meet in England to decide whether it will guarantee the expenses. He expects a cable from Jobn F. Ahearne, B.I.H.. A. secretary.Herb Shirrs, chairman of the Canadian's club hockey committee said if the B.I.H.A refuses to guarantee the Edmon-ton-to-New York expenses, There would still be a chancethe junior team would maxethe trip but it would be “veryremote.'*Mr. Shires said the team, tentatively scheduled to leaveEdmonton Jan. 3, woulo have to find some way of obtainingthe Edmonton-to-New York costs.He mentioned this money posibly could be raised througn a grant from the Canad.an Amateur Hockey association with additional funds being obtained from exhibition games played en route to New York. D. D. Hardy and Mr. Shiresagreed the B.I.H.A. has guaranteed expenses for the team after it leaves New York.
