Both clubs are 2-1 over-all.Ray Bierne was the spark for the winners, as he tossed 27 points through the hoop to lead his club to the top position.Charles Swigon kept Boro’s end up as he flung point for point with Bierne. He finished the night with 27. Help for Point Boro came from Craig Sulatis, who dunked 15.Point Beach also had two other double figure scorers in Paul Belmont, 16, and Dick Harris, 10.The losers led throughout the first two quarters before Point Boro tied the score at 33-all midway in the third quarter. The Beach team then went ahead to stay.d0 feTd1its0e1eer-nPoint Boro took the jayvee game, 48-44.O’Donnell Sets Mark Tom O'Donnell (6-5) sparked Keyport High School to a 90-76 victory over Henry Hudson Regional for its first triumph.O'Donnell’fired in 41 points to equal the Red Raiders* one-game scoring performance, which was held by Jack Cottrell, against Atlantic Highlands High,the predecessor o! Henry Hudson. The big lad had 15 fieldgoals and U fouls for .. .the. 41,which also set a record for the two-year old Keyport gym, breaking his own record of 33 last season. The 90 points also was a new gym record.The score was knotted at 39-all at the half, but 24 and 27 points in the next two periods gave the Raiders the easy victory.Freshman Lcs Hendricks topped- ,m Ill ——Schoolboy Standingsthe Admirals with 24 points, his best performance of the season.O'Donnell also hauled in 22 rebounds and his drives and jump shots just couldn’t be stopped by Henry Hudson.Shore Gains NotchComing up with a good rally in the fourth quarter, Shore Regional gained a notch in the “C” Division by downing Southern Regional, 73-64,Shore is now 2-1 in the league, while Regional drops to a 1-1 record.The score was deadlocked at 60-60 when the Blue Devils broke it up. Dave Bozard fired in thfee baskets, Wayne Reisner dropped four for four from the foul lane, and a long jump shot, and Mike Wells added a jumperin the rally.Don Prout, who kept the Devils in the ball game, had 19 points in the first half and seven in the second for 26.
