DHS Boxers And Wrestlers Open Rugged SeasonDelta High Schools’ Boxing and Wrestling squad opens their .season Wednesday, December 17, against a powerful Provo High School club at 8:00 P. M. in the Palomar Hall.Monday, December 22, at 8:00 P. M. In the Palomar, Deltawill meet Cedar City High School in their second bout of the year. These two bouts promise to be exciting and interesting.Provo High School Is bringing several boxers and fourteen wrestlers to Delta for Wednesday's fights. Some of their boxers will meet the following Delta boys:1 Allen Bc-veridge, Scott Skidmore, Orland Ogden, Reggie Pearson, I Gene Vest, and Leon Alidredge.Dollars wrestling squad that placed third in State high school competition last year will be headed by such boys as Robert Oallister, last years Stale Champion in 120 lbs, Merrill Nielson. 155 lbs, Wendell Knight. 133, and Ladd Jones heavyweight.The boys who are fighting for their respective weights on the squad are as follows: Stanley Holl-ingshead. Jack Orton. Leland Over-son. Roger Overson, Carl Baker, Frank Baker, Eugene Benson, Max Black. George Dutson, Lyman Hen-rie, Jim Hollingshead, Abner Johnson, Howard Johnson, Jack Nielson, Barton Shipley, Richard Snow, Albert Winsor, Wayne Western, Rodney Ivie, Verl Jensen, Earl Steele, Stanley Tolbert, Raymond Vest, Arlvn Finlinson, and Grant Mem-mott.These boys work hard and put on a good show. Be sure and come out and support them.Tickets axe 75 cents.
