Carney.The toastmaster also called on anumber of the football squad, including Co-Captains Hubert Jurecka and Houston Vickers of the squad, Luther Rader, Gene mick, LaFavette McCraw and Julius Rektorik.Lester Newell and Leonard Speer, members of last year’s squad, also were present and made short talks.Coach Rundell announced the election of Rendall Russell, star tackle of the 1931 squad, as captain of the j squad for next year. Russell, in his talk, complimented the leadership of Jurecka and Vickers and pledged hisbest efforts for next year. iiCoach Rundell announced awards j of letters to the following members lt;of the 1931 squad:Herring, Hailey and B. Jurecka as ends; Vickers, Russell and Taylor asitackles; Parr. Carraway and Rek-torik as guards; McCormick as een-/ter; H. Jurecka, Rader, Wilson, Me- i(’raw and Richards as backs.
