Ashent scored two more times in the third penod for good measure.Clive Halldorson was the top pomt-getter for the Hornets, with two goals ami four assists in the contest.Rod Svcisirup also had a tug game for Ashent with three goals, while Wanen Toderan scored twice. Warren 9, Teuton 3 The Warren Mercury’s continued their domination of the South Interlake Hockey League last week with a convincing 9-3 victory over the Teulon Tigers The Mercs led throughout the game, played in Teulon on Friday, after they opened up a 2-0 first period lead.It just didn’t look like we were in the game at all, Teulon's Ken Cbobotar said. They took charge all night long.Wanen's Randy Proctor led all scorers with three goals and three assists, while teammate Mike Krakalovich added a goal and four assists.Chris Corbett scored twice for the Mercs, while Trent Proctor. Doug Burker and Drew Woytowich responded for the Tigers.Teulon 6, Fisher Br. 4 The Tigers rebounded from Friday’s loss with a 6-4 victory against the Ftsher Branch Blades on Saturday.Teulon took a 1-0 lead after the firsi period, and then scored three straight to open up a 4-1 lead after two periods of play.It was Fisher Branch's turn for a momentum boost in the third, when they scored three times. Joel Dandeneau and Marc Giasson scored for the Blades.Fisher Branch 8, Jels IThe hapless Stonewall Jets continued to struggle last week, after they were bombed by the visiting Fisher Branch Blades 8-1 on Friday.Despite the one-sided score and his team’s position at the bottom of the S.I.H.L. standings. Jet coach Ken Klimpkc was sympathetic towards his players' situation.We're the youngest team around, and we're doing the best with what we have, KUmpke said.Tie Blades led by 3-1 after the fust period, but could only expand their lead to 4-1 after two periods of play.We lad a good, sound second period, Klimpkc said. It'* just too bad that we couldn't put the puck in the net.Stu Evans and Marc Giasson scored twice each for the Blades, while Darcy Gauthier, Marc Dandeneau and Ken Meierri added singles.Barry Blue scored the only Jet goal.Warren 8, Flyers 7 The Warren Mercurysscored three unansweredgoals during the last seven minutes for a comc-from-bchind 8-7 victory over the Stonewall Flyers.The game, played inStonewall, featured the league's top two teams and saw both clubs trade leads throughout the contest The Meres led 4-3 after a wild first period, but the Flyers tied the game 5-5 in the second.Then, with 13 minutes gone in the third period. Stonewall clung to a 7-5 lead.However. Warren’s dramatic comeback caught the Flyers totally by surprise.“1 thought we would win, after leading 7-5 with the clock ticking down. Stonewall’s Blair Swanson said.Trent Proctor scored twice and Derek Erb popped one during Warren’s comeback. Proctor notched the winner with 3:24 remaining.Proctor led all scorers in the game with four goals, while his brother Randy, Cory Sinclair, Erb and Rob Oucharek added singles.Chris Marshall was the top sniper for Stonewall with three goals. The Flyers' Bob Isbtster. Roger Wilkins. Rob Jowett and Brad Bulbuck scored one each.S.I.H.L.
